Brightly Software completes integration as Siemens entity

Brightly Software has completed its transition to fully becoming part of German multinational Siemens and the producer of a facilities asset management solution called Asset Management Software.
The move completes a four-year acquisition process that was begun back in 2022 by Siemens Smart Infrastructure, bringing Brightly’s asset management specialization into that arm of the giant Munich- and Berlin- based corporation.
The announcement was made last week at Siemens Transform 2026 in Manchester, England, a digital and sustainability transformation event.

The "smart" buildings product, Asset Management Software, helps organizations maximize asset performance, minimize risk, and transform maintenance and operations, according to a Siemens release.
“By combining operational asset data with Siemens’ digital infrastructure capabilities, customers can make faster, more informed decisions that improve asset performance, extend lifecycles and reduce operational costs,” according to the release.
“These insights will support greater uptime, efficiency and longevity of critical assets while enabling AI-powered workflows and smarter energy management to achieve sustainability goals.”
Added Don Kurelich, CEO and head of Asset Management Software at Siemens: “The Brightly brand becoming Siemens is the next milestone as we continue to deliver the asset management software solutions we’ve been building for over 25 years.”
Asset Management Software will hold a place in the Siemens software portfolio as the foundation for asset health and management, providing critical utilization insights needed to enable closed-loop lifecycle management, according to Siemens.

Wrap-up of Brightly integration part of a busy few months for Siemens
Earlier this summer, Siemens followed the trend perpetuated by IFS and others when another arm of the huge company, Digital Industries Software, introduced a product that employs agentic AI virtual workers alongside human employees to redefine industrial workflows and help perform high-volume or repetitive tasks on the factory floor.
Called Intelligence Center X, it’s part of the company’s Xcelerator software portfolio was rolled out at its Realize LIVE event in June. Intelligence Center X was the company's lead product announcement at the Detroit show.
Intelligence Center X is designed to work alongside existing operations and data solutions to enable agentic workflows to operate with trusted data across a “broader ecosystem” and is supported by Siemens’ data and cloud ecosystem partners.
Intelligence Center X follows along similarly to IFS’s “digital workers,” enabled via the IFS Loops platform. Both are agentic, AI-powered enablers of industrial assistants. IFS advertises theirs as designed to operate like virtual colleagues in asset-intensive industries.
Asset software all about manufacturing, industrial infrastructure
Asset Management Software, a cloud-based AI-empowered platform, is all about “smart buildings” and is designed to improve capital planning through smarter, data-driven decision making, equip technicians to predict, prioritize and manage preventative maintenance activities and support organizations to achieve operational resiliency, compliance and efficiency goals, according to Siemens.

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is another operating company of Siemens that combines IoT, cloud tech, and AI to optimize HVAC, lighting, and workspace efficiency. It addresses the challenges of urbanization and climate change by connecting energy systems, buildings and industries, according to Siemens.
Siemens SI provides customers with an end-to-end portfolio from a single source. The portfolio spans products, systems, solutions, software and services from the point of power generation all the way to consumption, including infrastructure and asset lifecycle management, according to the company release.
