TRUMPF has announced that Lutz Labisch will become president and CEO of TRUMPF Inc. effective March 1. He will be responsible for production, sales and service of TRUMPF's machine tool and laser technology product portfolio in North America and for the strategy and business operations at TRUMPF subsidiaries in the United States (including Connecticut, California, Illinois and Michigan).

He will also oversee TRUMPF operations in Mexico, Canada and Brazil. TRUMPF is currently the largest manufacturer of fabricating equipment and industrial lasers in North America and generated revenues of approximately $700 million in its fiscal year ending in June 2021, they note. Founded as TRUMPF America Inc. in 1969, TRUMPF’s North American headquarters are located in Farmington, Connecticut.

“Lutz Labisch is strategically, an exceptionally adept manager who has proven his great expertise in previous management functions in the finance department of the holding company in Germany and at TRUMPF’s North American subsidiary,” said TRUMPF Group CEO Nicola Leibinger-Kammueller. “He also possesses the key cultural skills and knows the market in North America as well as in Europe and Germany. I wish him every success for the great tasks that lie ahead!"

As the new president and CEO of TRUMPF Inc., Labisch brings nearly twenty years of experience in the machine-tool industry. Labisch has demonstrated leadership skills and has excelled in various finance and management positions throughout his career and six-year tenure with TRUMPF. His expertise garnered in prior positions contributed to the commercial foundations he developed for TRUMPF’s Smart Factory strategy.

“I am excited to further grow TRUMPF’s customer relationships in North America,” says Labisch. “Our mission is to enable customers to create exceptional products by offering outstanding laser and production solutions. We provide both market-leading technology and customer service to a broad variety of customers and industries. Whether our customers are small family-owned job shops or multinational companies, we are dedicated to serving them all with a wide product portfolio ranging from affordable entry-level machines to fully integrated and automated Smart Factory solutions.”
