IDEM Safety Switches, a manufacturer of machine-safety products, featured its DS Range of configurable safety interlocks and control stations, the HLZ guard locking safety switch, and its comprehensive portfolio of machine safety technologies at the PPMA Show in Birmingham, England, last month.
The DS Range from combines configurable operator controls with optional integrated safety interlocking in a heavy-duty, compact design, according to the company, and are constructed with a rugged housing and a narrow profile so the units can mount directly to guard frames to help conserve space and simplify installation.

Additionally, the HLZ guard locking safety switch is designed for demanding industrial applications requiring high locking force, environmental protection, and advanced functional safety.
The company's offering includes safety interlock switches, guard-locking devices, RFID and anti-tamper safety switches, trapped-key systems, rope-pull switches, emergency-stop devices, safety relays, network-enabled control stations and specialist products engineered for hygienic, hazardous and harsh industrial environments, according to IDEM.
ABB's Machine Automation division introduced its new human-machine-interface (HMI) portfolio that it said enables machine builders to create operating concepts tailored to their specific applications.

The scalable ecosystem is industrial PC-based on AMD processor technology. Its integrated neural processing unit delivers up to 50 TOPS of processing performance to support compute-intensive and AI-enabled applications and has integrated security-by-design features. Other features include a camera, RFID reader, and LED status bar.
The company is also expanding its Power Panel portfolio. The Power Panel C650, the first member of the new Power Panel 600 family, combines visualization, control, and engineering within a single, integrated system, according to ABB.
Palladyne AI, a defense and industrial technology company, and FANUC America announced a collaboration focused on advancing the robotic automation for manufacturers.
The collaboration combines FANUC America's industrial robot portfolio with Palladyne IQ, a closed‑loop autonomy and embodied‑intelligence software platform designed to give industrial and defense robots reasoning, low code training and adaptive behavior.
The companies aim to develop intelligent robotic capabilities that simplify deployment, increase adaptability, and expand the range of manufacturing and logistics applications that can be automated.

Adisra, a provider of industrial automation software, announced its SmartView 5.0, the latest generation of its HMI/SCADA platform with built-in machine learning and the company's Rule-Based Expert System.
According to the company, the platform will enable automation professionals to combine real-time process data, engineering knowledge, visualization and control to identify unusual behavior, predict future conditions and give operators decision-making context.

SmartView 5.0 incorporates seven machine-learning capabilities: regression; forecasting; binary classification; multiclass classification; clustering; time-series anomaly detection; and multivariate anomaly detection.
These algorithms apply to industrial use cases such as predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, quality prediction, condition monitoring, process forecasting, and operational optimization, according to ADISRA.
