MxD announced that Ernst & Young US LLP (EY) has joined as a Tier 1 member to advance digital manufacturing by leveraging the latest in software, equipment and leading practices to further innovation.
MxD’s 22,000-square-foot, future factory floor in downtown Chicago features some of the most advanced manufacturing equipment and software available, they note. As part of this collaboration with MxD and key organizational relationships, EY will provide hands-on demonstrations, showcasing how cutting-edge technology can solve today’s most pressing manufacturing challenges.
“The pandemic has put an increased spotlight on the fundamental shifts needed within the advanced manufacturing landscape and has created a new urgency for companies to evolve their business models accordingly,” says Chandra Brown, CEO of MxD. “Supply chain innovation is a long-standing priority for MxD and is deeply embedded in our goal to facilitate innovation at every step of the manufacturing process.”
Through an immersive interactive process, leveraging equipment demonstrations and hands-on simulations, EY and MxD will help manufacturers develop their digital road map for the future and lay the groundwork for securing the operational technologies that manage, monitor and control their industrial operations. This includes a data-driven approach to identify the most significant business risks.
“EY understands the importance of an ecosystem-first approach in driving a resilient and secure supply chain,” says Brad Newman, EY Americas advanced manufacturing and mobility industry market leader. “We are thrilled to join MxD as we help companies realize their manufacturing goals, using cutting-edge technologies to enhance supply chain visibility, protect against the increasing threat of cyber-attacks, improve safety on the factory floor and drive a culture of continuous transformation.”
