Connected worker platform provider Poka has made a leadership transition that aims to advance the company’s strategy to move toward an AI-driven future for manufacturing in its platform software.

In December, Quebec City, Canada-based Poka announced that its co-founder and chief AI officer, Antoine Bisson, assumed the role of CEO, bringing expertise in software engineering and AI as part of Poka’s transformation into an AI-native organization.

This involves embedding AI into every layer of the connected worker platform to augment frontline workers, accelerate information sharing and redefining how manufacturers connect people, processes and performance, according to the company.

“We are entering a pivotal moment in manufacturing,” Bisson said in a release from Poka, which is a subsidiary of IFS. “AI is no longer a futuristic concept—it’s a practical tool that’s empowering workers to solve problems faster, make better decisions, and adapt to change in real time. Our mission is to make this transformation accessible to every factory, on every line.”

The leadership transition is part of Poka’s AI strategy that aims to leverage Generative AI and contextual intelligence to help frontline workers capture, access and act on knowledge more swiftly as manufacturers accelerate their digital transformation through the platform’s AI-driven features, the company said.

Bisson assumed the role after former CEO Alex Leclerc stepped down in December.
