HighByte releases Intelligence Hub 4.3, expanding agentic AI on factory floors

The version includes new connections to server tools and data exchange platforms to ease company adoption of agentic AI.

Industrial software company HighByte announced the release of HighByte Intelligence Hub version 4.3 that expands support for agentic AI adoption on the factory floor through a connection that allows industrial enterprises to localize, consolidate, and control access to third-party MCP servers.

Version 4.3 introduces a Model Context Protocol (MCP) Client connection and also includes new MCP Server Tools for connections like message queuing telemetry transport--a messaging protocol designed for connecting devices in machine-to-machine and IOT application--and OPC UA, an open-source, cross-platform standard that simplifies data exchange from sensors to cloud applications.

Those connections are ideal for companies getting started with agentic AI use cases like asset maintenance and quality inspection, according to HighByte. 

Users can also leverage new MCP Server Tools that expose pipeline configuration to AI agents, allowing them to build data pipelines in the Intelligence Hub with natural language. 

And the new High Availability capability in version 4.3 synchronizes system state and configuration to prevent data loss and improve reliability.

The latest release also introduces deeper integrations with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks; new connections to Microsoft Fabric OneLake; and support from Azure Blob Storage and Databricks SQL connectivity,

This can simplify moving data into and out of the factory, according to HighByte. 

In 2020, HighByte launched its Intelligence Hub Version 1.0, which the company said was the first DataOps solution purpose-built for industrial environments, according to its maker.
