In conjunction with Smart Industry and IndustryWeek’s Digital Transformation Academy, SI asked speakers from three different manufacturing companies to check in and tell attendees about their digital transformation journeys and which technologies have been keys to their success.

Purdue University

Craig is an industrial engineering professor for Senior Capstone and director of all IE labs at Purdue University. He and his team are leading numerous digital transformation efforts and advising small and medium-size companies within the state of Indiana on all aspects of advanced technology adoptions and integration. He and his group work closely with state and federal organizations to advance the level of automated processes and Industry 4.0 concepts within the U.S.

 

Jamal Syed
President & CEO, HEXstream

Jamal has more than 30 years of experience in software development, data analytics and consulting, and has been involved with several technology startups. He keeps a keen eye on emerging technologies and advises utilities on digital transformation and process optimization.

 

Heath Stephens
Digitalization Leader, Hargrove Controls & Automation

Heath has more than 27 years in chemical engineering, process safety, automation, and controls. He also has much experience in batch specialty chemicals, as well as refining, pipelines, and pulp and paper. His expertise extends to startups, project management, and team leadership at facilities in multiple countries. His current role is to help clients implement digital solutions that deliver on the promise of Industry 4.0 through data acquisition and the latest analysis tools.
