Manufacturers must double and triple their efforts to enhance their cyber defenses, considering that OT is under threat like never before. This is a challenge because technology in plants can run the gamut—from “legacy” equipment invisible to software monitoring for suspicious activity to the latest plant tech that is miles more advanced and more visible but also more connected to the outside world and, thus, also vulnerable.
